The news is that God is continuing to faithfully orchestrate and sustain the project of moving toward the release of my second CD, to be released in the Spring of 2006! As anyone with a limited budget could understand, it has been difficult in the past to move things into place for recording and production. However, God has shown his unending provision in recent months by providing an amazing backup ensemble and production staff dedicated to His glory and edification. I’m pleased to annouce the backup vocal ensemble for the upcoming project: Cammie Shivley and Megan Moore, Sopranos; Jenna Morgan and Sherrill Lynn Brownfield, Altos; Ryan Allen and Drew Greenway; male voices. Furthermore, on bass guitar is Daniel Eaton. And for percussion, Justin Sanders. And working hard behind the scenes in production is noted recording engineer and dear friend, Aaron Harp. Furthermore, I want to thanks every person who has had some involvement in this project, including my wonderful family and the students of Ouachita Baptist University. I also want to express my utmost thanks to Sekou Molette, my producer and manager, as well as Sonya Moore, consultant for this second project. If not for your constant encouragement and pushing, this wouldn’t even be a possibility. God Bless you all!

We all share two things. Firstly, we all love good music. But more importantly, we love to worship God and see him glorified by his people. Personally, I want to thank this team of passionate Christ-followers for their committment to this project and continued diligence in seeing it through to completion. Certainly, there are more names to come. And as we move closer to the release date, I’ll be sure to keep you informed of how things are going here in Arkadelphia. Stay in touch!

Could it be that God sometimes allows pain so that we can identify with other people’s struggles, making us better witnesses and ministers? After all, who wants to be ministered to by a guy who has always had it together? I’d take the redeemed screw-up over him any day.

It has been a pretty cool last couple of weeks. I went to New Mexico last week and got to experience (again) some amazing scenery and wonderful fellowship with other Christians. I visited Denver Seminary and got to meet some of their people. It was pretty cool. We (Heather, Aldon, and I) did a lock-in for their youth group at FBC Raton. It was really awesome. In fact, I submitted a resume for a summer youth minister position. Pray about that, will ya? Then, back home by way of Guymon, Oklahoma, where we stayed with Heather’s grandparents. Home a couple of days…hanging with my favorite girl (Mom). Then, back to Oklahoma…Norman. Hanging out with my boy, Jorge. Down to Dallas to visit TheDoor studios (where we’re likely recording in the Spring). To Waxahatchie to see Daniel and Ashley and fry up some amazing chicken and work on a couple of songs. Then, to Richardson, where we’re spending the night with Jorge’s aunt and hanging out at her daughter’s sweet sixteen. Then, in the morning, going to the Potter’s House to hear TD Jakes preach (yay!). Then, lunch with Chris (roomate) and Katie (his girlfriend)…back to Norman. Then, back home to make money before going to school. Whew! It’s been a great time.
