Just in case you haven’t read my latest reflection: I was granted the wonderful honor of being named the 1st place winner of the Metropolitan Opera Mid-South Regional Auditions in Memphis over the weekend. What a blessing! I received some prize money, an all expense paid trip to New York City (where I will participate in the National Semi-finals on the stage of the MET!), and the offer of a full graduate scholarship to the University of Memphis’ Scheidt School of Music. A special thanks to Drs. Jon and Glenda Secrest, my voice coaches, and Camille Brown, my accompanist. They’ve put up with a lot for me and I couldn’t have come this far without them. I also thank my friends and family, mainly Mom and Dad, for their prayerful support and encouragement. God be praised. Nothing is possible without him. But with him, as I’m seeing more and more every day, the sky’s the limit.

Over the weekend, I participated in the Metropolitan Opera Mid-South Regional Auditions - I was granted the massive honor of first place! As the winner, I won some prize money and even more amazing, an all expense paid trip to New York in order to participate in the National Semi-Finals on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera itself! Holy Cow, adrenaline rush! Thanks for all your prayers and support!

Regardless of all divine turmoil experienced, whether in pain or sickness or frustration with God, my resolve still remains the same. He is good. My Lord is so faithfully good.
